The guitar looks pretty, but does not perform well. We were unable to tune it and keep it tuned. The strings were too far off the frett board making it difficult for a child to play. We returned it and bought a travel guitar from our local music store.

It appears the tuning key on the B string doesn’t function properly. So it is hard to get in tune. Too close to Christmas to return, and I want to give it to my Grandaughter. I will see how it does Christmas morning.

I looked all over for a guitar for my 1 year old nephew. I didn’t want one of those baby guitars that lights up and plays a random note or song when you push the buttons. His dad is an excellent guitarist, so I wanted something real, but not too expensive incase he eventually broke it. I finally settled on this guitar, and I’m thrilled! My nephew LOVES it! He sits on the floor and strums it. It sounds great since it has real strings, not like the little kid ones that have plastic strings. Even better, his dad also has a new toy! My nephew sometimes has to fight his dad to play it. When dad is playing his own guitar, they can sit and play together now. I’m sure it won’t be long until they are playing and singing duets. Great bonding time!

This is a very nice toy-instrument and my 3.5 year old enjoys strumming on it. I didn’t spend so much money that I feel I need to monitor his play with it…I didn’t want something I felt he needed to be too careful with. I wanted something that wasn’t the cost of a guitar that I’d buy for lessons, but better than the first act guitars for a similar price. I am very happy with my purchase. I had no trouble tuning this guitar and it does a decent job of holding tune. One of the strings has a little rattle in it, but in time I’ll replace all of the strings. It has a very decent sound, particularly for the price.

We bought this for our 2 year old who loves to play with dad’s guitar. I wanted something that was good quality and REAL, but not too expensive where I would feel like I had to monitor him with it. This was perfect!! First of all, it’s adorable!!! It is the perfect size for him, and looks like a regular ol guitar. Very nice wood and coloring. The strings are metal and not plastic like a lot of kids strings. It’s tunes up great and holds the tune well. It also comes with a black nylon bag to store it in, which is SO cute. It has a strap on the bag, it is a thin bag, but really cute and does it’s job. It also comes with a strap for the guitar which is great for kids. Comes with a pick and an extra string, although we bought about 12 more picks since lord knows what 2 year old do with tiny things like that (i think there are about 6 in our heater vent already! haha). It also came in a nice box to store it in, it’s just cardboard, but it is very handy to keep it in. Then it was packaged in another cardboard shipping box, the same size as the storage box. SO, that was nice, a good place to keep it.

My son loves it and my husband loves that he and the baby have matching guitars! Great quality, would definitely recommend to anyone!! (also, obviously 2 is pretty young to actually PLAY the guitar, i think this is a great one for ALL kids, not just toddlers). Just keep in mind this IS a $20 guitar, so its not the BEST quality. but i think it is worth WAY more than the the 20 something i paid.

I bought this for my 5 year old grandson and he loves it. I like the fact it was “real” and could be used for lessons. My grandson is always playing his “tummy guitar” when he dances to music, hopefully this will replace that and he will be my next guitar star!

I have a 3.5 year old and a 20 month old. They both love to “play” the guitar and so this is the one item that I have bought two of – one for each of them. And they absolutely love singing and playing the guitars. While the kids don’t play properly, I have a friend who tuned the guitars upon their arrival and I was very surprised by how wonderful the guitars sounded. The kids are pretty rough with the guitars, but the strings are still well in tact – and an extra string was provided in the package. This was by far the best Christmas present the boys received and I feel that the guitars are good value for the money.

FOR THE COST, THIS IS A WELL MADE AND FUN TOY. AS A XMAS GIFT, IT WAS A BIG HIT!

Actually, this is a very nice sounding guitar. More of a musical instrument than a toy and should be treated that way.

We purchased this child guitar for our [....] son. He loves it. Some children’s guitars in this price range are more of a toy, but to our surprise it tunes up well and has real metal/steel strings. He is currently using it for private guitar lessons and the teacher approved it as very suitable choice.
