   dgx630 is a higher model but not as portable as the p85.

    I have a P85, but when recording from the headphone output is very weak sound, not like your recording. How have you made the recording? What equipment did you use?

    @jl0rellana hi, it just goes direct to my laptop, there should be a volume control for input.

    @LedzA08 thanks. When recording in the laptop the volume is correct.
    However, when I plug the P85 to a domestic amplifier, it seems that the signal is very weak.
    I’ll try to plug the P85 to the laptop and the laptop (like a preamplifier) to the amp …

    @jl0rellana it shouldn’t be weak signal, this is earphone output which I think should be stronger than a pre-amp out. first thing i would ask is the volume of the p85 and cables.

    @LedzA08 There are an article titled “Connect your Ipod to a Stereo” that describes an impedance mismatch that causes the headphone output to behave like a weak signal when connected to a line input. Google-search Headphone Jack + Stereo Receiver = Fail to locate the article.
