The Miami University music department will host a guest artist recital with the Rawlins Piano Trio at 8 p.m.

April 8, 2010 : AR Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory, which claims that after receiving training there, one can perform within nine months, is in plans to bring the famous Russian style in piano to India.

There’s enough accumulated star power involved here to illuminate an entire city, so it’s slightly disappointing to find it expended on a pair of Mendelssohn piano trios which are hardly the most exciting or innovative of pieces.

Franklin Park Arts Center hosts back-to-back performances Friday and Saturday night, with boogie woogie piano player Daryl Davis and pianist Nancy Prestipino taking the stage, respectively.
