Rawlins Piano Trio plays composition by Miami dean

The Miami University music department will host a guest artist recital with the Rawlins Piano Trio at 8 p.m.

Rahman Conservatory in plans to bring Russian style piano

April 8, 2010 : AR Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory, which claims that after receiving training there, one can perform within nine months, is in plans to bring the famous Russian style in piano to India.

There’s enough accumulated star power involved here to illuminate an entire city, so it’s slightly disappointing to find it expended on a pair of Mendelssohn piano trios which are hardly the most exciting or innovative of pieces.
